Finding a Lost Pension

Have you worked for a company that entitled you to a
pension benefit that has since gone out of business and wonder how to
collect your money? It may seem impossible to track down the old
pension provider but there is a valuable resource available to the
public in the form of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

You can contact the PBGC in a number of ways:

By Mail:

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation

Missing Participant Program

1200 K Street N.W.

Washington, DC 20005-4026

By Phone:

By Internet:

When you do contact the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation it is
important to have as much information as possible that can help them
track down your benefit. You will want to provide them with your full
name, address, phone number, social security number, date of birth and
the name and location of the employer in question. Additionally, if you
have any documents from the plan itself be sure to include the
nine-digit Employer Identification Number (EIN) and the three-digit
plan identification number.
